Summary:
Under the direction of the Human Resources Supervisor the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management.
This position carries out a wide variety of responsibilities in the following function areas:
employee relations, onboarding requirements, policy implementation, payroll, guidance with employee benefits and leaves and crafting Policies.
The Human Resources Generalist will use the Human Resources System to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential.
They will also be the main point of contact for employee inquiries and related topics.
All employees are responsible to follow all protocols of food safety.
Essential Functions:
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Facilitates and works alongside recruiter in the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to new hires onboarding, benefits, and leave, workers compensation, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
May oversee the assignment and daily workflow of the subordinate staff in the department.
Support Talent/ Recruiting processes and practices as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education:
High School Diploma/G.

D/Equivalence - Bachelor's degree preferred 3
years of full cycle accounts payable experience preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues Minimum of 3 years working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including compensation practices, organization diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws HR certification (PHR or SHRM) preferred Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable):
